Morgaine House
We publish primarily Canadian authors of contemporary adult literary fiction and poetry. We are not exclusively a women's press but feel that our authors must have sensitivity to feminist thought. We do not accept genre writing, such as romance, mystery, sci-fi.We are also not interested in poetry or fiction with religious themes, and we do not publish historical fiction.
Please submit your material on 8 1/2 x 11" white paper, double-spaced,one-sided,unstapled. Include a brief bio of yourself. Mention any previous publishing success. You may include a short cover letter.

FICTION
Novels: Send an outline and/or story synopsis. Include the first three chapters. We do not want to see out-of-sequence sample chapters.
Short Fiction: Send three to five stories and a brief description of the others in the manuscript. Out-of-sequence stories acceptable. Title page: include title, name, number of stories and page total.

Electronic Submissions
Currently, we do not accept electronic or diskette submissions, unless we have entered a publishing agreement. Feel free to contact us by email if you wish to query us about a manuscript; want us to mail you submission guidelines; or wish to have a quicker response to your submission. morgaine@videotron.ca

POETRY
Poetry manuscripts should have a minimum of forty pages, but not exceeding 80. Include a table of contents. We accept most forms of poetry, except religious themes and rhyming poetry.
Chapbooks
Chapbook manuscripts should have a maximum of 30 poems and no less than fourteen. The chapbook series is immensely popular, so please query us first, as our publishing program is quite full in this area. Cover design of chapbooks is left to the discretion of Morgaine House.
